My Vinyl Collection.

My friend Aimee wrote a mini post on her vinyl collection a while back (you can read it here) and with all the new music that has been released recently I felt inspired to write my own.
I started collecting vinyls before I even had my own record player, I used to hang them up on my bedroom wall as decoration, and for years I used to search through my Mum's collection, which is mainly made up with The Osmonds, and play them on her player that weighed a ton and took two people to carry in to the house. I've always loved having a physical version of an album, even in this day and age where music is so easily accessible online I still love to have something to hold. My family brought me a little portable Crosley turntable for Christmas two years back and from then I brought more vinyl than CD's. What I love the most about vinyl is the effort you have to put in to find records that you want, whether that's searching the internet or flicking through them in record stores, I also love the way songs sound, some people may not think they sound any different but to be the music seems to relax me more and it makes me appreciate the songs.

The first Vinyl I got was brought for me by my sister in 2007, 10 YEARS AGO WTF, and it was McFly's The Heart Never Lies heart shaped 7" and it's cost £2.99, the sticker is still on the plastic sleeve, I played it once on my Mum's player and then was stuck up on my wall to be looked at for the next 8 years until I got my own player. If you don't know McFly were the first 'band' I loved with my whole heart and I still do. The newest vinyl I brought (literally 15 minutes ago) is Halsey's Hopeless Fountain Kingdom, and I am so damn excited to listen to that masterpiece.

Also in my little collection are (I'm going to attempt to list these in the order I got them but don't quote me):

- Jonas Brothers - It's About Time. Being a mega Jonas Brothers fan, I somehow convinced my mum to say for Team Jonas membership and this was one of the gifts, also a certain number of them were signed and I screamed when I found out mine was on of them.
- 5 Seconds of Summer - 5 Seconds of Summer. This is also a limited edition vinyl that was released on Record Store Day, and my tiny record store only had one copy so being the obsessive person that I am I made sure I was at that shop before it opened so I was the person that got it.
- 5 Seconds of Summer - Amnesia. Can you sense a theme here?
- Taylor Swift - 1989.
- Halsey - Badlands.
- One Direction - Made in the AM.
- The 1975 - I like it when you sleep.
5 Seconds of Summer - Sounds Live, Feels Live. Oh look there's that band again.
5 Seconds of Summer - She's Kinda Hot. ...
- Halsey - Room 93.
-  Twenty One Pilots - BlurryFace.
- Spice Girls - Spice. I brought this one, along with Room 93 and BlurryFace in Miami, and honestly I've never squealed so hard in Urban Outfitters. The Spice Girls are probably the reason I love music,  they were the first group I remember loving back when I was a smol bean, I believe they were the first CD I ever brought.
- With Confidence - Better Weather.
- Green Day - American Idiot.
- Moose Blood - Blush.
- All Time Low - Future Hearts.
- Harry Styles - Harry Styles. As soon as I watch Harry perform, Ever Since New York, on SNL, I immediately knew this album was one that would sound so good on vinyl so I went straight online and preordered it and damn was I right.

If you are someone that loves music I truly urge you to buy a record player and start your own mini collection if you have the means to, I promise you won't regret it. If any of you have any recommendation on vinyls I should buy please let me know.

To finish this post here are a couple of records I would love to add to my collection (hint: Christmas is in 6 months)
- The Maine's entire discography (honestly why is postage so much money)
- All Time Low - The Last Young Renegade (this is currently in my Amazon basket just waiting for me to crumble and click buy)
- Moose Blood - I'll keep you in mind from time to time (I don't even know if this is available on vinyl but I pray it is)
- State Champs - Around the World and Back
