Weekend Getaway: Disneyland Paris.

Me and my sister took a little trip to Disneyland at the beginning of last month, to celebrate their 25th anniversary. We took an 11:30pm coach out of London Victoria (which can you believe only cost us £20 each) which arrived at Paris Galleni just before 9am which meant after a short trip on the Metro/RER we were in the parks just after opening at 10am.

We started with Walt Disney Studios and went straight to Ratatouille to get a fast pass. From there we went to Tower of Terror (aka my favourite ride) and amazingly waited less than 10 minutes until we were dropping from the top. Feeling the adrenaline pumping we headed to Rock 'n' Roller which was also only a short queue, with us only having to wait just over 15 minutes. By the time we'd finished it was time for our fast pass for Ratatouille, which honestly is such a good ride. I loved the 4D aspect of it, any ride that smells of food is a ride for me. I really wanted to go on Crush's Coaster but the whole time we were there it was either a 90 minute wait or 'temporarily closed' which sucked! After saying a quick hello to Mickey, we headed out of Disney and to Val d'Europe to grab a quick bite to eat and have a mooch in Sephora (where I surprisingly didn't buy anything) we then went back towards Disney and checked in to our hotel. We stayed at B&B Hotel Disneyland which was perfect for what we wanted, a bed to sleep in and breakfast, and it was less than 10 minutes away on the free shuttle bus. After a quick freshen up we headed back to the parks and went to visit Sleeping Beauty's Castle for the first time. We did a couple of rides including the Tea Cups and Dumbo before grabbing some candy floss and watching the parade. The parade was honestly amazing, I watching it with a smile on my face and a couple of tears in my eyes.

After the parade we did a few more rides before we got too cold so headed to the shops to try and find jumpers that didn't cost 50 euros with no success, We shivered our way through Illuminations, and I thanked the sky for raining so I could pass my tears off as raindrops My and my sister are attempting to eat at all of the Planet Hollywoods around the world so of course we had to get dinner at the one in Disney Village.

The next morning after a very stressful start, with my sister thinking she'd lost her ticket and having to travel back to the hotel to find it on her bed, we finally entered the park and got in the queue for the newly revamped Hyperspace Mountain, for it's first day opening I was surprised that the queue was only 70 minutes. I'm not a fan of Star Wars so I didn't appreciate the overlay as much as a fan would but the ride definitely felt improved, it seemed faster and more slick and I really enjoyed it. Since it wasn't currently raining we decided to stop and finally take some photos in front of the castle. From there we went and rode Big Thunder which is probably my favourite ride in the Disney park. On our way to lunch at Colonel Hathi's Pizza Outpost, where we ordered the star shaped pizza which was incredible, we saw Chip n Dale doing a little pop up meet and greet so of course I had to get a photo with them. After we had been in the maze and rode the carousel we had a little bit of time left before we had to think about getting food before our train departed so we quickly headed in to the Studio's again to take some pictures at the Scare Floor and to see if they had the chip plush I wanted, which they unfortunately didn't. A quick mooch around World of Disney later and a stop at Earl of Sandwich it was time to board our train back to London.

I'm so happy we did this trip and since we managed to do it on such a small budget I really hope we are able to go again this year.

Please enjoy the following photos from my trip.
