Anyone that has ever visited or even seen a picture of a Disney Park knows just how picturesque they are, meaning they are the perfect place to snap some shots for 'the gram'. In September I was lucky enough to visit the original Disneyland as well as Disney's California Adventure park and of course I used this opportunity to take plenty of pictures. I thought I would use this post to share with you my favourite photo locations in and around both parks, a) for anyone visiting the parks who is looking to fill up their Instagram feed and also b) so I have a reason to post them. If you have been and want to share your favourite photo spots please let me know I'd love to see you photos.
*Disclaimer - these are in no particular order*
Let's start of in Disneyland itself, as you enter the park you are greeted with the iconic 'here you leave...' sign before you enter through the archway lined with beautiful posters of some of the different rides. I decided to take a snap with the 'it's a small world' poster, I know 'small world' is one of those 'you either love it or hate it' rides but like marmite I personally enjoy it, so what better way to commemorate my love than with a cute picture.
When it comes to pictures at Disney Parks the most iconic photo is obviously one with the castle, to me the second most iconic is a photo with the 'Walt and Mickey' statue also known as the 'Partner Statue'.
One location that makes for a fun photo is 'the sword in the stone', in California this is located just behind the Carousel and features the back of the castle in the background making this shot extra magical.
There is a second 'Mickey and Walt' statue over in Disney's California Adventure, this one is referred to as the 'Storytellers' statue and is located on Buena Vista Street.
Continuing in California Adventure, one of my favourite photo locations can be found at the end of 'Hollywood Land' and is this huge backdrop featuring the famous Hollywood Boulevard, if anything it's better than the real Hollywood Boulevard because there's no other people in your shot and the sky is always blue.
Another of my favourite photo locations is the large wooden doors featuring the 'Paradise Pier' logo and slogan, you're gonna need to be quick to get a shot with this though as Paradise Pier is about to transform in to 'Pixar Pier'.
In terms of cute factor this next location wins, next to the Monster's Inc ride, Monsters Inc, Mike and Sully to the rescue, you will find a supersized version of Boo's Door from the movie.
My final location is probably the image you all think of when somebody mentions, California Adventure, and that is of the iconic Mickey's Fun Wheel. This is a amazing photo location both day and night so be sure to pop back a couple times to snap some pictures. I personally prefer the pictures we took at night time when the whole pier was lit up, the colours and lights just make the pictures that extra special for me.
I really hope you guys enjoyed reading this, I personally really enjoy making this kind of post so I hope you like them. If you have any favourite photo locations in the parks please feel free to share them with me, I'd love to see your photos.
Also whilst I still hopefully have your attention I recently made an instagram account to post my travel photos, so if you'd like to see them please give me a follow @travelwithgeorgina.
Until next time x
