Travel Series: Walt Disney World Part 4

Welcome to the final post in my Walt Disney World travel series, I hope you've enjoyed reading all about our Disney adventures.

September 5th 2017 - Animal Kingdom

Was Animal Kingdom my favourite park? Maybe.

Reasons why this park is brilliant,

- It's tough to be a bug!
- Everest, which we managed to ride a solid seven times in a row!!!!
- Rivers of Light, probably my favourite night time show.

My only regret with Animal Kingdom was that we didn't get to do the safari, but there is always next trip.

We also went to Disney Springs this day which honestly to me was a little disappointing, apart from the wine slush I had, maybe if I had more money to spend I would've seen it in a different light.

September 6th 2017 - Epcot

Before I give you the rundown of our day, I would like to highly recommend that if you ever find yourself in Epcot that you purchase one of the passports, if my memory is correct they are about $12 with tax and they really help you see a lot more of the countries than I believe you would see if you didn't have to look for the kidcot areas, plus they make a really nice souvenir of your time there.

Surprisingly Epcot was the park that we met the most characters in, these included, Baymax, Joy and Sadness, Mickey, Minnie and Goofy, and Ana and Else. It was also the park that we rode the least rides. Soarin' was my absolute fave and both me and Aimee were sad when the queue for it in California was way too long for us so we didn't get to do it again. We also got to ride the highly talked about Frozen Ever After, one and half times. You may be asking 'how do you only ride something half a time? Well, let me tell you about the time we got EVACUATED! We were sailing along nice and smooth, Elsa had just given us a lovely performance of Let it Go, when we stopped at the top of a drop for a little too long when all the lights came on and a cast member appeared and next thing we are having an unplanned behind the scenes tour of Epcot.

September 7th 2017 - Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party.

Halloween may have been almost 3 months ago but here I am talking about Disney Halloween and more specifically Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party.
Before we started the spooky festivities we firstly had to check out of our mermaid room at Art of Animation and move to our one night reservation at All Star Movies. Thankfully our room was ready early so we had a little time to go visit Magic Kingdom to ride some more rides before we had to head back to get ready.

Since Aimee was dressed up as a Tower of Terror Employee what other way to start our Disney Halloween celebrations than a short but sweet trip to Hollywood Studios to say farewell to our one true love, ToT, before heading back to Magic Kingdom to celebrate Halloween Disney style.

Our main priorities for MNSSHP were to meet Lotso and watch the Boo To You parade, the Hocus Pocus show and the Fireworks and luckily we were able to do all of the above. We also got to meet the talking Mickey Mouse, which was a very interesting experience. I also collected enough candy to last me the flight to LA, our entire stay in LA, the flight back to London and at least a week at home, so overall it was worth the $70 for the ticket.

I really hope you have enjoyed reading these posts, I'm really sorry they were a bit all over the place. I hope 2018 will be the year that I actually find a regular posting pattern so watch this space.
