So we started our first day with a super cute mini photoshoot in our resort, before heading off on our first full day of Disney adventures. I feel like most people start their WDW holiday with a trip to Magic Kingdom but we decided to start at Hollywood Studios. We didn't get there for the start of the extra morning magic hours but we did arrive before the park officially opened meaning we got to ride Tower of Terror a couple times before it got busier. Hollywood Studios is very Star Wars orientated so as I'm not a Star Wars fan there wasn't too much I really wanted to go on however the Star Wars themed attractions we did go on were actually very enjoyable even for a non-fan of the franchise, especially Star Tours.
I would say that Hollywood Studios is the smallest of the four parks so we only spent the morning there. During our time there I think we only went on three rides, Tower of Terror, Toy Story Mania and Star Tours - The Adventure Continues, all of which were fantastic, even if Toy Story Mania broke on us a couple of time. We also spent some time meeting a couple of characters, Olaf who was so sweet, if you see him sporting a septum piercing any time soon blame Aimee. Whilst in the line for Goofy there was a really cute little girl behind us who was so excited to meet him that we let her go before us, her parents and the cast members were so thankful for us for that, that we got a lot of time with Goofy. We also met Buzz and Woody who were both super cool!
We managed to catch the March of the First Order, which was slightly terrifying for me, and we went back to watch the night time firework show Star Wars: A Galatic Spectacular, which I really enjoyed even as a non-fan of Star Wars.
As we had only used a couple hours of the day to do everything we wanted to do at Hollywood Studios, we decided to get the bus across the Magic Kingdom. We arrived just in time to catch Festival of Fantasy which was INCREDIBLE!! We rode a couple of rides including the Tea Cups, we also met Merida and Gaston.
I'm sorry that this post took so long to write and I'm still not entirely sure how I really want to layout these posts so please bear with me if they are all a bit all over the place.
