When the tour was announced at the beginning of March and I found out they were playing such a tiny venue two thoughts went through my mind, 1) shit I have to go, seeing them in such a small venue again would be a huge throwback and such a good time and 2) shit how the hell are we gonna score tickets. Through some miracle from god me and my pal Vanessa got our hands on two tickets and we were buzzed.

A Night with Harry Styles
On Monday 30th October, I spent a thrilling couple of hours with the one and only Harry Styles, along with 5000 or so other people but I'm just going to pretend they weren't there.
My sister and I spent the afternoon wandering around London before filling our bellies with pancakes at The Diner and then headed to the Hammersmith Apollo to cry over my one true love Harry Styles. We got to the venue around 6pm and joined the mile long line, massive props to those dedicated enough to spend the night and longer there because the hour we were in line was freezing.
The support act was a band called Muna, they are a female electronic rock band from America. I really enjoyed their set especially their song 'I Know A Place' which I suggest you go and listen to. Harry's preshow playlist consisted of some iconic songs including Come Together by The Beatles.
Harry's set consisted of pretty much every song on his debut album, even playing Kiwi twice, as well as a couple of One Direction songs, and a beautiful cover of Fleetwood Mac's The Chain. He is such a wonderful performer, his love for music radiates from him.
Concerts are a place where your race, religion, sexual preference, immigration status etc do not matter, in that space we are a community, a group of different people who have all come together for their mutual love and respect of one thing, music. This is something Harry made very clear throughout the show, mentioning several times that coming out to a show is a hard decision for some these days. One thing he said really stuck with me:
"My job is to entertain you and your job is to do whatever makes you happiest, if you want to sing or dance. Please feel free to be whoever you want to be in this room and I will try to make you have a good time."
I had such a wonderful time in his presence and I can't wait to do it all again in April.

My Vinyl Collection.
I started collecting vinyls before I even had my own record player, I used to hang them up on my bedroom wall as decoration, and for years I used to search through my Mum's collection, which is mainly made up with The Osmonds, and play them on her player that weighed a ton and took two people to carry in to the house. I've always loved having a physical version of an album, even in this day and age where music is so easily accessible online I still love to have something to hold. My family brought me a little portable Crosley turntable for Christmas two years back and from then I brought more vinyl than CD's. What I love the most about vinyl is the effort you have to put in to find records that you want, whether that's searching the internet or flicking through them in record stores, I also love the way songs sound, some people may not think they sound any different but to be the music seems to relax me more and it makes me appreciate the songs.

March Gig Reviews!
Like many of my pals March was gig month, with practically one gig a week, honestly what a dream life. So instead of me writing several different posts on each show which you all know I probably wouldn't write until 2020, I thought I'd combine them all in one 'epic' summary post.

Sounds Live, Feels Live: London
So I started writing this post the day after the first show when I was on the tube to Ana's house in the notes on my phone but then my boob got too sweaty at the 5SOS show and killed it so here I am rewriting it and hating my life choices and empty bank balance.

Gig Review: All Time Low, Future Hearts Tour, London, February 2016
You've got me poppin' champagne!
That's actually a lie cause champagne is expensive but we did pop a bottle of wine, however the lyrics 'you've got me poppin' rosé' don't exactly have had the same effect. As you might have been able to tell by the title this post is going to be about the All Time Low show I attended at the O2 Arena on Thursday (11th Feb) which was the second stop on their UK Back To The Future Hearts Tour. The support acts for this tour were Against the Current and Good Charlotte, yes you heard correct GOOD CHARLOTTE, like was I more excited to see ATL or GC? idk.

Top Ten: Music Edition
Top Ten Songs I'm listening to at the moment
I love music so so much. A song can bring out so much, whether it be a lyric that you relate to, or a song that reminds you of a memory, or just a piece of music that makes you feel happy and free, music is a wonderful thing. I like to believe my musical taste is quite varied, I'm always looking to expand it and listen to new bands and artists, if someone has a suggestion I will listen to it, so please if anyone has a band or song that they really enjoy or think I will enjoy please let me know and I will happily give it/them a listen. There has been quite a lot of new music released recently so I thought I'd compile a list, complete with an attached Spotify playlist, of the top ten songs I'm listening to at the moment, not all of them are new but they might be new to me and you.

Gig Review: Mayday Parade/The Maine, Manchester, January 2016
What’s another night on Mars?
This past weekend I travelled up to Manchester for my first concert of the year and my first The Maine show ever, technically it was a Mayday Parade show with The Maine being one of the support acts but still. For once in my life I had the shortest travelling time of my friends thanks to Virgin Trains and their one and a half hour travel time from Milton Keynes to Manchester Piccadilly, so I was the last one of us to leave and the first one to arrive. The plan was for me to meet Aimee at the train station and for us to then go and find the coach station so we could welcome Vanessa to the north for the first time after her lovely 5 and a half hour coach journey up from London town, however it turned out the coach got in a little earlier so we just ended up meeting at Taco Bell instead. Once we’d fed ourselves some ‘Mexico comes to Manchester’ delights we had a quick wonder round the shops and then went and stocked up on wine and headed for the hotel.

It's been a while since I last wrote a post but I've been busy with work and sleep and bands, the usual really, so I apologise but now I am here to tell you all about the past three ish weeks of my life, how I've met a bunch of new people, hung out with some of my favourite people, including 5SOS and got to see previously mentioned band perform sold out shows around the country.

I MET HALSEY!
So today me and a couple of my friends decided we would take a trip to London to try and meet HALSEY since it's the only day we could all do while she's still in London. I knew even if we didn't get to see her it would still be a good day and worth the 7am wake up call because I was getting to spend time with some lovely friends, one whom I haven't seen since November and used to see at least once a week when I was still at uni.
